Look what I just found, this game looks so cool. Playing a tiny little mouse? Undead warrior rats? It’s really sad that the fundraiser campaign is only at around half of what is needed, it would be lovely if you people could support this. I really kinda want to play this game, and so do you, you know you want to….

Hello guys, I’m opening commissions since I’m in a really rough spot at the moment and I kind of need money ASAP. Apparently I’ve got a bill for £118 ($180 USD) from being given an iPad to use with my university work and I have a week to raise it.

How I got that much I don’t know, all I’ve been doing is checking my emails and connecting to the Uni wifi. I barely used the 3G on it if it had it on it. My brother didn’t even tell me there was 3G on it that I had to pay so I’m at fault for not knowing.

On top of this I also need to raise money to help me out in Summer. Going home isn’t really an option for me or I’ll likely end up sleeping rough until university starts again. If I can raise enough money to go to Sweden I can stay at my sort of foster-family home and relax. The reason why I can’t go home lies with my mother. She won’t tolerate me staying at the house unless I pay rent and being given just enough by my student finances for my uni year I can barely afford my womanly products each mother, never mind eating or rent.

This is why I’ve been making jewellery and looking on sim-boards for commission work. I didn’t exactly want to put it out there that I am in dire need, but it’s getting to a stage where I can’t hide the issues that I’m having. I don’t want to beg, I want to offer you a service in response for your kindness.

If you can’t contribute any money to help me out, then please could you at least reblog this? It would mean the world to me!

Money’s been a bit tight lately, so I’m opening 5 commission slots! These’ll be available in three separate tiers: b&w sketch, inked/colored, and icon. Here are the prices, along with some examples to give you an idea of what to expect.

Sketch—$25 (plus $10/ additional character)

Inked/Colored—$45 (plus $15/additional character)

Icon—$10 (a 400x400 character bust)

I do take NSFW commissions as well so if that interests you, please check out my NSFW art blog.

I will gladly draw any and all characters (e.g. monster, anthro, mecha, etc.), but please provide ample reference by way of images or detailed description if necessary. Backgrounds and scenery may be added for additional charge.

Life Beyond the Clouds: Kickstarting The Cloud Factory

A printed collection of concept art and comic pages from Lexxy’s upcoming fantasy adventure webcomic, The Cloud Factory.

After many months of deliberation and work, I’m excited to announce my first Kickstarter! The project goal is a high quality, soft cover, 6” x 9” art book, which will include at least four complete comic pages, by July 1st, 2013. This Volume Zero book will contain 32 full-color pages, and all the comic pages completed for it will be available to read at launch on http://www.cloudfactorycomics.com.

As with any good Kickstarter, I’ve got some pretty sweet backer incentives lined up. Even the lowest reward tiers get you a PDF of Volume Zero, as well as other digital swag like official TCF music and wallpapers. Physical rewards include a copy of the book, prints, limited edition book plates, and artist edition books (plus some mysterious stretch goal unlockables), while the truly daring can back more influentially by naming in-comic features and making cameo appearances!

Backing this project will not only get a nice art book into your hands, but it will help facilitate the release of over two years’ worth of work for everyone to read! Please, help me share my story with you :>

Ah man I just realized I never really posted the results of a round of commissions I did not too long ago which included a few sketches like this?

When you send me paypal payments for commissions, please always mark it as being for Services. (Don’t worry too much if you didn’t do this, though).

I understand the seller always pays the paypal fee/tax in this situation. I am okay with it. I do not mind giving paypal some money for enabling me to even receive the payments in the first place. It’s okay. Paypal is not a Big Bad for wanting compensation for their services. Woo.

If you’re getting a digital commission, please also mark the payment as requiring no shipping. (this should be an obvious one, but in the rush to throw dollars at people I know it can get lost). Part of Paypal’s Terms of Service requires sellers to agree “not to use your PayPal account to sell goods with delivery dates delayed more than 20 days from the date of payment”, so when you attach a shipping address to something that doesn’t need to be shipped, and never gets shipped, it can be a slight problem.

Each icon will be $10. You will receive a 300x300 pixel image which you may crop or resize to your liking (I will also send you a 100x100 version of the image).

Peek at these posts for examples of some older icons I’ve done.

Please fill out my commission form if you are interested. I will update this original post with the availability of slots so please check back to the source post to see if slots are still open if you’re seeing this on a reblog. A few of the things on the Terms of Service don’t really apply to icons as they are such small works, so don’t be too intimidated by it.

I’ve updated some of my commission policies and created a form for clients to fill out to make everything run much more smoothly and require a bit less back-and-forth in emails to get all the info I need for commissions. I’ve also created a Terms of Service that clients should look over before they commission me, most of which is fairly obvious stuff so it’s not much to worry about, but will still require looking over.

For this reason I’m going to ask that anyone who was on my waitlist please contact me again using said form which I will link once I re-open for commissions, to both tell me you’re still interested and to ensure you’re okay with the new policies.

I will probably be giving the form a test-run later today by opening for a round of 10 icon commissions just to make sure everything’s in working order. Keep an eye out for a post later, if you are interested!
