oh man i hate to ask stuff when i'm sure you have a bunch to answer already but ahhh are you open for commissions digitally? as in not at the con but once everything is over with (and you're rested up of course)? sorry if this is a bother ;n;
No problem at all! Ask away, guys.
— It’s possible I’ll open for digital commissions after I give myself some chill time! I’ve gotta reassess a few things before I do, but I will definitely make posts on my various art-haunts if I decide to open a few slots. :D
1) How much do you plan on pricing the majority of the prints?
2) Is there any other homestuck fanart you'd be willing to sell? Even some of your sketches are phenomenal.
- Majority of prints will probably be sitting around $10-12.
- I will probably be sketching a lot at the table (otherwise I will get so bored oh god) whether or not I’ll be selling any of that though, I’m not sure yet! If anything turns out super awesome I might. :>
Hand is pretty much crippled from rush-coloring stuff but man it feels good to be pretty much done with con prep.
Hopefully I can last long enough to crank out a few more charm thingies.
I don’t technically /have/ to but I am missing a few that I intended to have due to quality control over here. ( I made them but then somewhere in the process of finishing them off the damn ink ran and disaster and ugh. In short: NOT GONNA SELL THAT CRAP.)
Leaving for the con sometime tomorrow to pick up pre-reg and get settled into the hotel and do preliminary setup at the art table.
AND THEN THE CHAOS BEGINS ON FRIDAY.
Lookin’ forward to hangin’ with people! <3 See you guys there.
Prints should be arriving within the next couple days (will have 14 different ones available, majority of which will be homestuck-related and original art. But there’s some Reboot and Madoka as well.)
I definitely didn’t get to finish things for as many fandoms as I’d have liked to, but pretty sure my table-mates have managed some better variation than I have, so definitely come check it out and say hi. :D
In addition to prints, there will be some great plushes, charms, and assorted other dangly bits! I’ll try to get a picture of everything up here soon so you guys know what’s up. :>
What are those aliens that you draw that have the handtails? Is there a story behind them?
Yep! There is a story, but for now it’s /very/ much in the works, and I don’t want to say too much about it yet because so much is subject to change, but I’ll try to elaborate a little whenever I post stuff of them!
But while I am here I guess I’ll talk a bit about their biology thus far. The race itself is the “Saava” — they’re reptilian humanoids who have evolved from a species that was very much arboreal, so they’re generally lithe, skilled climbers. They have hands and feet very much like those of a gecko, in addition to a tail that may serve as a makeshift grappling hook. The claws on the end have knuckles at their bases to allow for more flexibility and grip. A Saava’s “horns” are actually cartilaginous bulbs which are sensitive to sound and vibration, and function as ears.
The Saava homeworld as well as their space colonies are relatively low-gravity, so when they travel abroad, many of them need to make use of muscular support technology and modified suits to be comfortable. Even with this, they’re generally pretty slouchy.
Not something I’d get asked as often as one might think, but I do get asked this nevertheless. Every other artist that maybe skilled, talented, experienced, etc. get asked this all too often from what I see. The best me or any other artist that isn’t a teacher can give you is just advice. Here’s…
I have been letting messages pile up a lot. I think I have answered all the ones that are questions, if I missed one you asked go ahead and toss it over here again because it probably just means tumblr is being a jerk.
BUT MAN THERE WERE SO MANY MESSAGES THAT WERE JUST…. PEOPLE LEAVING LOVE??
You guys are so sweet, I love you all. D: <333
Your support means an unbelievable amount, and while I’m going to spare followers the spam of replying to them individually, I just wanted to let you guys know that every one of those notes is read and very much appreciated.
